from 09.00 hrs  always open

Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel presents: “O” a collective exhibition on eroticism by the hand of Adda Gallery returns to Ibiza for its fourth edition.

Ten artists from different countries and artistic fields — illustration, urban art, photography, pop surrealism — the show offers these artists ’vision on one of the recurring themes in art and life: Eroticism.

Sometimes rejected, relegated to the confines of what is respectable and what is not, eroticism has never ceased to captivate and inspire artists. Drawings, prints and photos make a homage to seduction, to the body, to the carnal pleasures, to the senses. Offering a realistic, romantic, sensual, even febrile or humorous view of the matter.

ART EXHIBITION: TALKING TREES by Mary-Lynne Stadler @ AUBERGINE IBIZA Restaurant

aubergine-sep1
AUBERGINE IBIZA RestaurantART EXHIBITION: TALKING TREES by Mary-Lynne Stadler @ AUBERGINE IBIZA Restaurant

from  12.00 – 24.00 hrs

An exhibition of paintings, drawings and mixed media works by Mary-Lynne Stadler, with contributions from people from all around the world.

It all began when she met a tree, a very ancient olive tree, on the terraces in the campo behind San Carlos.

The first thing that immediately struck her that day of the first meeting was that she had a heart – a heart that was clearly defined and embraced by her old bent and broken branches.

She has lived through hundreds of years of winds and floods and droughts. She has weathered storms and diseases, as well as interventions by insects, and humans and animals. Every one of those experiences has been scored, more or less deeply, in every fibre, every creeping root and every one of her broken branches, and each one has left its individual mark. And yet, despite the ravages of centuries that have scarred her, she still has a warm and embracing heart that continues to beat with life, and sends fresh new growth to reach the sky.

Mary knew she had to make work about her, and started sketching, there in front of her, in the biting winter wind. There are so many facets to this tree, so much history locked in her, that no single image will tell her story well enough. She has drawn her in pencil and charcoal, ink and gouache and more. At times I have sketched her quickly and roughly, other times the work has been done more painstakingly and in more detail.

In the end, though, she hoped that the range of work mirrors something of the complex nature of the way a single, ancient tree grows, survives and flourishes through the centuries.

Once she started working she began to think more about trees that have featured in her life, and when she started talking to people she realised that they, too, could pick out certain trees from their histories. Then she heard a talk by Canadian forester, Susanne Simard, who has shown that trees have a vast communication network through their roots that covers distances that stretch for many kilometres.

So it occurred to her that it would be interesting to mirror the trees’ communications and start people talking to one another about their trees stories, and sharing their creative interpretations of trees. So that we could generate greater respect for these magnificent plants through making people more aware of their own personal connections to trees.

The contributions quickly started to pour in. And the more interesting, touching or creative ones will become part of the exhibition, as will work by Mary-Lynne’s students and local children.

In the meantime, when all the talk has been about climate change, we need more trees. The scientists are telling us that planting enough more trees could absorb enough CO2 from the atmosphere to give us another decade of breathing space.

So this exhibition is more than just an exhibition. It is a message from the old olive tree to each and every one of us to stop cutting down the trees, and to start planting more trees.

About the Artist

Mary-Lynne Stadler is a fine art painter and printmaker living on the island, and working from her studio at Elysian, in Es Canar.

She fulfilled a life-long ambition to study art as a mature student, when she took an Honours degree in Art and Creative Writing at Bath Spa University College, Bath, England in 2001. She was subsequently awarded a Fellowship in Stone Lithography at the same establishment, and, two years later, joined the Cyprus College of Art on a year-long Postgraduate Diploma in Art.

Cyprus has a way of working its seductive magic on a person, and for the next decade she found herself still living and working there. During that time she was an active member of the art community on the island, participating in many exhibitions and events, including the first Open Studios event there in 2006, and running art workshops for both adults and children at her studio. For a time, she also taught both printmaking and History of Art to the students at the Cyprus College of Art.

She has exhibited widely in the UK and in Cyprus, as well as here on Ibiza, and her work can be found in collections all over the world, from Hawaii to Hong Kong.

An international team of creative artists, musicians, painters, photographers and djs, long time Ibiza’s residents, have come together and brought into being a new spirit of celebration – Namaste!
The “Namaste” gesture is a sign of greeting expressing respect towards others. As a usual gesture, the inside of the palms are joined together and placed on the chest, in proximity of the heart, with the head slightly bowed.
The significance of this gesture is: “I honor the divine spirit in you, which I also honor within me, thus knowing that we are one.”
This is the philosophy behind the Namaste parties

With more than 8 years of experience, ‘Manycome’ is arriving this summer for the first time to Ibiza, every Wednesday from 3th July until 18 September we have a date at Privilege Vista Club. Despite being an established event in the Iberian Peninsula, ‘Manycome’ has turn his concept to a much more experiential event based on the sound quality, the style and the best techno DJs to run those two first.

Ibiza’s Privilege Vista Club (“The Biggest Club in the World” according to Guinness World Records) will be our home this season.
A true sanctuary for electronic music, Privilege Vista Club has always been at the forefront of the develop of both the night and sound culture in the White Island. The Vista Club, the glass covered terrace of Privilege, has become a reference for the techno raves and the sunrise parties, which are, thanks to its particular setting, and spectacle to live from inside.

The need of creating a quality techno event in Ibiza and also the need to give a much bigger protagonism to female DJs did give us the opportunity to create a place where feminism could live together with a natural line up in order to obtain a techno sanctuary where everyone is welcome.

International artist like Marika Rossa, Lilly palmer, Elena Pavla, Amber and Nusha will be responsible of the opening every Wednesday night at Vista Club.

Manycome’ is a philosophy, a way of life, a mantra that despite of its powerful, extroverted and different nature it is born from the deepest respect for humanistic values, the respect for the planet and any form of life, earthling or not…

We are at the vanguard of innovation, fashion and any technological advance that from the sustainability may serve us to offer the most singular ‘Manycome’ experience.

Manycome’ is not just a party, is it a set of sensations conforming an experience who only a few chosen ones will live this summer.

ROCK NIGHTS presents “Hollywood Western” at Pikes Ibiza this summer.
For the 2019 season, which sees Rock Nights celebrate its 14th anniversary, as well as 6 years of parties at the legendary Pikes Hotel, we have taken inspiration from the Wild West of Hollywood, with a pinch of Tarantino. Each party’s poster will form a deck with the heart symbol, and each card will be a party, starting with the ace of hearts for the Opening Party on Thursday 13th June.
Each year Rock Nights choose a song as its summer theme, and this year Simøne has made a remix of Aerosmith’s – Sweet Emotion.

Following the Yankee influence of previous campaigns, this time we would like to encourage the crowd to come to Rock Nights dressed in Western gear such as: cowboy boots, bandanas, western shirts, and cowboy hats.

In 2019 the parties will be held every Thursday, from the 13 th June to the 19 th September, starting at 10pm.
Music will be headed by resident DJ Colin Peters, accompanied by the following lineup: ROWETTA Live ( HAPPY MONDAYS ) – DORIAN DJKITTY DAISY AND LEWIS DJ SET – SILVIA SUPERSTARBLACK HONEY DJ SET – SOREN MANZONIBANDOLEROSLOLA VON DAGESIMØNEVIKTOR OLLÉTOXICOSMOSJAVI BOXMARCOS TORRESJORDI CARDONAMONTANA BROTHERSFAT GORDONKERITONACHO RUIZCHERIES DJSBONETTIBLUESBELMORINIGRAHAM THUNDERANTON VALEROEL CARTEL

In addition to the music played in Freddies and Chez Fez, Rock Nights will have Cowgirls, Karaoke in the Sunny’s bathroom, the Crazy Piano area, a pinball area, the Coyotes Tattoo area, and the Picknweight clothes corner that will sell secondhand Western gear.

Cowboys and Cowgirls, ready to rock!

* guestlist only
Entry to the parties will be exclusively through the guest list on the Rock Nights website: www.rocknightsclub.com

SHINE Ibiza returns for it’s 2nd season the the White Isle!

Having enjoyed a highly successful 11-week debut run (culminating in him picking up DJ Awards Ibiza’s 2018 Trance Master title), The Supernova Group confirmed that Paul van Dyk will be joining the SHINE family in 2019. Having headlined the Ibiza night throughout the summer, SHINE will be back at a new venue, and further will see Paul return to his customary TRANCE THURSDAYS residency slot on the White Isle.

On SHINE’s first season, Paul reflected: “SHINE brought a breath of fresh air to Ibiza in 2018. To break out and do something new and under our own steam was a wonderfully liberating experience for myself personally and, I think, all involved. The team was right, the vibe was right and the DJs SHINE brought in to play were second to none. Trance and it’s global family were back on the island in its truest form. That all showed in the reception the night received.

On my last trip to Ibiza this year I dropped into the recently fully redeveloped Eden. I was blown away to see how the venue was modernized and refined. I’ve played the best and most exciting venues in the world and the new Eden is exactly that. Alongside San Antonio’s continuing regeneration, I am sure SHINE will host a world-class 2019 production there. Trance and Eden have a close relationship/shared history that goes back decades. In tandem with the desire to have the night back on Thursdays, I’m delighted to say that SHINE will be moving to the club for the upcoming 2019 season.

Of the night’s move to Eden, the club said: “We are delighted to be hosting SHINE Ibiza for the first time in San Antonio. We are dedicated to offering a diverse range of club nights to our Ibiza crowd. We can think of no better team to bring Trance to Eden than with legendary Paul van Dyk and the SHINE family for 2019”.
SHINE promoter and MD of The Supernova Group Nick Ferguson echoed that, saying: “We are very excited by the opportunity to move SHINE to Eden for the 2019 season. The club has recently experienced a fantastic redevelopment and resurgence, as has San Antonio. Eden is well run, by people that believe in trance and are passionate about working with an exciting new brand!”

Paul will once again headline the night and a first raft of supporting DJs will be announced early in the New Year. Season 2 of SHINE begins with an opening fiesta on July 11, 2019 and will run for 11 #TranceThursday nights through to September 19. More info to follow.

Amnesia Presents & Do Not Sleep announce 7 exclusive Friday dates, this summer, Fridays will be more Amnesia than ever

After 45 years transforming Ibiza’s nights into pure magic and bringing the island’s essence around the world, the time has come for our team to return to base to do what we do best. This season, Fridays come kicking off the season with huge changes in the island’s music scene.

The iconic nightclub’s international ‘Amnesia Presents’ event brand teams up with the island’s favourite straight-through-crew, Do Not Sleep, for an exclusive run of seven dates full of surprises that, with no doubt, will represent the maximum expression of the Ibizan essence.

Neil Evans, from Do Not Sleep, made clear why he wanted to be part of this unique set of events:

“Last summer we found our perfect home in Amnesia’s Club Room and there was no way that we could see ourselves settling for anything less than that this year. We’ve got a great relationship with the team at Amnesia and it made total sense to partner up with them to ensure that the ‘Amnesia Presents’ events had a club room to compete with their plans for the terrace, and I think it’s safe to say people are in for a treat when they see what we’ve got planned”

Though the line-ups are still to be announced, you can be sure that the scene’s biggest names will be situated in the infamous booth, whilst Do Not Sleep take charge of the club room with their inimitable brand of underground house and techno following their acclaimed debut season at the club last year. In addition, we will count with a solid team of residents between the two rooms, alongside a carefully selected run of headliners that you won’t want to miss.

The Amnesia Presents x Do Not Sleep events will run for seven Fridays this summer:

May 17th, 24th and 31st, June 7th and 14th, and September 20th and 27th.

Change is here !!

Off the back of a storming 2018 Ibiza season and a slew of sold out shows across the globe, we’re happy to announce our return to Privilege’s Vista Club every Sunday from 23rd June to 22nd September

2018 SawUK crew SolidGrooves return to this infamous space every Sunday throughout the summer of 2018.

Those that have experienced a SolidGrooves Ibiza party will surely remember the International headliners, carefully selected residents, raw beats with groovy basslines and one of the most up for it crowds on the island. From the first to the last beat, the dance floor is a thriving mass of bodies, filled with energy and adding their own whoops and cheers to the sound track. All this means it’s no wonder that after two much talked about seasons, SolidGrooves made a welcome return to Vista Club each and every Sunday.

2018 Was the third season of SolidGrooves in Ibiza, and in that time the party has truly made an indelible mark. Serious bookings, an underground atmosphere and focus on the music rather than VIP high life has made it a firm favourite with proper music lovers who like to get busy on the dance floor to the freshest sounds.

Since last summer, SolidGrooves—which was raising the bar for six years—has been selling out shows across the UK and will continue that success in Ibiza with their famous Sunday night slot. This season you can expect more big hitting names and key brand collaborations that will bring plenty of world class talents to the Vista Club. It’s a space with a meaty sound system, huge windows with views over the island and a mid-sized feel that means each party is intimate and personal

GLOW was the first paint party to come to the island in 2013 and has since grown into a fixture at Es Paradis.
The evil little sister of the ´FIESTA DEL AGUA´, with a fluorescent explosion of colours.

A NEON paint party inside the Colosseum style dance floor is probably not what most people envisioned when planning their holiday to Ibiza, but GLOW will live long in the memory & has now become a staple in our events calendar due to its success.
Balconies provide refuge for those that are not keen to get involved in the madness that ensues & prefer to take it all in with a birds eye view.
It is the sort of night you have to go to with the right attitude, and if you’re up for anything you will come away with unforgettable memories – and a decidedly rainbow hue.
Join us every Monday night for GLOW.

PYRAMID CLOSING PARTY IN ASSOCIATION WITH SUNWAVES

After a huge first year in 2018, Pyramid is back with even more surprises. Last year the brand promised to bring back the old Ibiza vibes and deliver a party that had a big emphasis on production, performance and decoration, alongside mouth-watering line ups, and it certainly did that.

Over 17 weeks Pyramid was the place to be on a Monday night in Ibiza, bringing some of the biggest names in house and techno to the club room and terrace. Ricardo Villalobos made 6 appearances on the terrace, including his All Night Long set in Ibiza plus a very special B2B set with Luciano. Other DJs that played were Maceo Plex who headlined 5 dates, Nina Kraviz, Helena Hauff, Raresh, Ben Klock and Charlotte de Witte.

In addition, we witnessed stellar live performances from Stephan Bodzin, KiNK and more. B2B sets from the likes of Cuartero and Guti Live, Eats Everything and Luigi Madonna amongst others.

In 2019 the brand continues to grow, throwing its first parties outside of the island and preparing what will be yet another huge season, with unbeatable line ups and mind blowing decoration and production.

From Monday 3rd June to 23rd September, every other week at Amnesia Ibiza.

ART EXHIBITION: TALKING TREES by Mary-Lynne Stadler @ AUBERGINE IBIZA Restaurant
Sep 25 @ 12:00 pm

aubergine-sep1

* “Namaste Experience” has grown into one of the most popular and internationally renowned parties on Ibiza.
Born 20 years ago, the “NAMASTE Experience” takes place every Wednesday @ Las Dalias in San Carlos, in the north of the magical island of Ibiza. International artists, dancers from India, the Orient, South America and musicians from every continent perform under starlit skies.

HEART IBIZA presents this season, MAKTUB by Satori, every Thursday from June the 6th until September the 26th. A session powered by the union between dj’s and Live Acts.

As Satori says: “My idea for the night is to move a live act into a real art piece and give it the same value as a band performance”. “This way we are making the electronic music boundaries bigger. Ibiza is known for being the center of electronic music, but currently everything is based on DJs culture. With this concept, we want to break with this DJ culture and, in return, expand the artistic/musical concept of the island, with the live acts strengthening, therefore we will only bring live acts or bands. The objective is to move a LIVE act into a real art piece and give it the same value as a band performance. This way we are making the electronic music boundaries bigger. Ibiza is known for being the center of electronic music, but currently everything is based on DJs culture. With this concept we want to break with this DJ culture and, in return, expand the artistic/musical concept of the island, with the live acts strengthening.”

Apart from the live aspect… “We will create a further cinematographic experience, were the visual art will perfectly mix with the sound, producing this way what an extraordinary atmosphere should be”.

Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy this unique symbiosis that will be performed exclusively in the most artistic venue of the island.

A serious statement of intent bringing some of the finest from the world of House & Techno.

Sep 28 @ 12:00 pm

aubergine-sep1

It is a message from the old olive tree to each and every one of us to stop cutting down the trees, and to start planting more trees.

elrow is the world’s leading event production company with six generations of experience promoting unforgettable spectacles. Performers interact with guests, who become actors in the story, integrated into a psychedelic circus-like environment and vibrant atmosphere unlike any other. Hailed as “one of the most successful and outlandish party brands around the world” by Billboard and boasting over 250 events to its credit, elrow is a global phenomenon that can run five events simultaneously and is used to selling out as many as 15,000 tickets in under four hours even before lineups are announced. elrow events take place in over 80 cities on six continents, including residencies in Ibiza, Dubai, Capetown, New York and Barcelona, and stages at major festivals including Glastonbury and Tomorrowland. In 2018 alone, elrow hosted over 40 sold out events around the globe.
