from 09.00 hrs  always open

Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel presents: “O” a collective exhibition on eroticism by the hand of Adda Gallery returns to Ibiza for its fourth edition.

Ten artists from different countries and artistic fields — illustration, urban art, photography, pop surrealism — the show offers these artists ’vision on one of the recurring themes in art and life: Eroticism.

Sometimes rejected, relegated to the confines of what is respectable and what is not, eroticism has never ceased to captivate and inspire artists. Drawings, prints and photos make a homage to seduction, to the body, to the carnal pleasures, to the senses. Offering a realistic, romantic, sensual, even febrile or humorous view of the matter.

ART EXHIBITION: TALKING TREES by Mary-Lynne Stadler @ AUBERGINE IBIZA Restaurant
Sep 16 @ 12:00 pm

aubergine-sep1
AUBERGINE IBIZA RestaurantART EXHIBITION: TALKING TREES by Mary-Lynne Stadler @ AUBERGINE IBIZA Restaurant

from  12.00 – 24.00 hrs

An exhibition of paintings, drawings and mixed media works by Mary-Lynne Stadler, with contributions from people from all around the world.

It all began when she met a tree, a very ancient olive tree, on the terraces in the campo behind San Carlos.

The first thing that immediately struck her that day of the first meeting was that she had a heart – a heart that was clearly defined and embraced by her old bent and broken branches.

She has lived through hundreds of years of winds and floods and droughts. She has weathered storms and diseases, as well as interventions by insects, and humans and animals. Every one of those experiences has been scored, more or less deeply, in every fibre, every creeping root and every one of her broken branches, and each one has left its individual mark. And yet, despite the ravages of centuries that have scarred her, she still has a warm and embracing heart that continues to beat with life, and sends fresh new growth to reach the sky.

Mary knew she had to make work about her, and started sketching, there in front of her, in the biting winter wind. There are so many facets to this tree, so much history locked in her, that no single image will tell her story well enough. She has drawn her in pencil and charcoal, ink and gouache and more. At times I have sketched her quickly and roughly, other times the work has been done more painstakingly and in more detail.

In the end, though, she hoped that the range of work mirrors something of the complex nature of the way a single, ancient tree grows, survives and flourishes through the centuries.

Once she started working she began to think more about trees that have featured in her life, and when she started talking to people she realised that they, too, could pick out certain trees from their histories. Then she heard a talk by Canadian forester, Susanne Simard, who has shown that trees have a vast communication network through their roots that covers distances that stretch for many kilometres.

So it occurred to her that it would be interesting to mirror the trees’ communications and start people talking to one another about their trees stories, and sharing their creative interpretations of trees. So that we could generate greater respect for these magnificent plants through making people more aware of their own personal connections to trees.

The contributions quickly started to pour in. And the more interesting, touching or creative ones will become part of the exhibition, as will work by Mary-Lynne’s students and local children.

In the meantime, when all the talk has been about climate change, we need more trees. The scientists are telling us that planting enough more trees could absorb enough CO2 from the atmosphere to give us another decade of breathing space.

So this exhibition is more than just an exhibition. It is a message from the old olive tree to each and every one of us to stop cutting down the trees, and to start planting more trees.

About the Artist

Mary-Lynne Stadler is a fine art painter and printmaker living on the island, and working from her studio at Elysian, in Es Canar.

She fulfilled a life-long ambition to study art as a mature student, when she took an Honours degree in Art and Creative Writing at Bath Spa University College, Bath, England in 2001. She was subsequently awarded a Fellowship in Stone Lithography at the same establishment, and, two years later, joined the Cyprus College of Art on a year-long Postgraduate Diploma in Art.

Cyprus has a way of working its seductive magic on a person, and for the next decade she found herself still living and working there. During that time she was an active member of the art community on the island, participating in many exhibitions and events, including the first Open Studios event there in 2006, and running art workshops for both adults and children at her studio. For a time, she also taught both printmaking and History of Art to the students at the Cyprus College of Art.

She has exhibited widely in the UK and in Cyprus, as well as here on Ibiza, and her work can be found in collections all over the world, from Hawaii to Hong Kong.

GLOW was the first paint party to come to the island in 2013 and has since grown into a fixture at Es Paradis.
The evil little sister of the ´FIESTA DEL AGUA´, with a fluorescent explosion of colours.

A NEON paint party inside the Colosseum style dance floor is probably not what most people envisioned when planning their holiday to Ibiza, but GLOW will live long in the memory & has now become a staple in our events calendar due to its success.
Balconies provide refuge for those that are not keen to get involved in the madness that ensues & prefer to take it all in with a birds eye view.
It is the sort of night you have to go to with the right attitude, and if you’re up for anything you will come away with unforgettable memories – and a decidedly rainbow hue.
Join us every Monday night for GLOW.

Pacha Ibiza announce the launch of a spectacular event presented by the most recognizable – yet mysterious – entity in dance music: Claptone.

Brace yourself for the imminent arrival of the masked man’s Masquerade on the island, a marvelous night in Ibizan nightlife; promising magic, mystery and intrigue, within a supercharged environment of wonder. ‘The Masquerade’ is a place where one can live out their deepest desires, an extraordinary atmosphere, full of masked faces, complimented by some of Pacha’s world famous and beautiful costumed dancers, held every Monday throughout the summer. Commencing on Monday 27th of May and continuing weekly until 29th September, the new night will see some of the scene’s most adventurous DJs join in on the hedonism.

Originating in 2016, Claptone took his unique ‘The Masquerade’ show to select cities and venues around the Globe, from The Brooklyn Mirage – New York and Club Space in Miami, to his own arena at Tomorrowland, Belgium. Handpicking the featured artists himself, he has been previously invited the likes of Black Coffee, Pete Tong, Purple Disco Machine Claude von Stroke, MK and many more.

A unique figure in modern music, Claptone is like no other. Playing over 260 shows around the world each year, his idiosyncratic, spellbinding very own house sound has caught the attention of many, and his new Ibiza residency will be harbour to many more. With Claptone’s ’The Masquerade’ we are sure to add a new glamorous dimension to Pacha Ibiza.

As Claptone says “I am delighted to share this dazzling news with all of you today: Pacha Ibiza will be The Masquerade’s home for the summer!

With this, my very first Ibiza residency, a long-cherished dream of mine, finally becomes reality. I don’t think there’s any club in the world, with a history and impact like Pacha Ibiza has. Since the very first day, I have always felt very connected to the island. We have a lot in common, a deep love for the mysterious and the sensational – a natural fit for a man like myself.

The Masquerade at Pacha Ibiza will represent my vision of the perfect night out: house music and beyond, interpreted by a carefully curated line-up of unique artists that I admire, and that I feel share the same sentimental connection to music. I invite you once again into my world, this time bigger than ever.  A place where wonders are abound for those who trust in their imagination. The elaborate decoration and overarching experience will play a vital role. You are going to meet a collection of otherworldly – yet beautiful characters and dancers that will turn the place upside down.

I am looking forward to 19 unforgettable nights in Ibiza together with you, to present The Masquerade every Monday at Pacha, starting on May 27th. The line-ups will be unveiled very soon!

We promise magic, mystery and intrigue.

ibizaopeningpartyticket

Papa Sven heads for the Terrace booth and goes in for the kill with one of his legendary all-night-long marathons. When you factor in that this is his only solo takeover of the season, make sure you don’t miss out on the trip.

Over in the club, it’s packed with talent from venerated veterans Carl Craig and Cassy, to Ukranian techno powerhouse Nastia, and seasoned island resident Cesar Vinzent.

Sven Väth presents many parties celebrating the 20th Anniversary season of Cocoon Ibiza at Amnesia.

Ibiza, Cocoon, Amnesia. A combination that has raised the bar as well as the roof from the very beginning. Influencing and inspiring and laying the platform for so much that has followed in Ibiza and beyond.

Welcome to COCOON20.

To kick off the celebrations of COCOON’s 20th anniversary, Väth has invited a handful of special guests including long-time friends, Underworld.

Sven was playing Underworld’s legendary Born Slippy at his residency at Frankfurt’s hallowed Omen Club long before it became the global smash hit it’s known as being. He invited them to play a memorable set at COCOON’s 10th anniversary in 2009, and now he’s giving a chance for a new generation to witness one of the greatest electronic acts of all time. They continue to inspire and innovate and sound like no other act on the planet, with 2019 also seeing the 20-year anniversary of their mesmerizing, best-selling album, Beaucoup Fish.

The UK duo, alongside Sven himself – who of course will also play on the night, will be joined on the bill by a selection of COCOON IBIZA’s long-running, well-loved residents: Ilario Alicante, Dana Ruh and André Galluzzi. Each of them has made immeasurable contributions to the sound of the party, shaping its musical DNA over the years. Meanwhile, Matthias Tanzmann will play his debut COCOON IBIZA event.

When COCOON arrived on Ibiza in 1999, the sound of the island was incredibly different. It took several years of Väth and his team’s dedication to underground house and techno before people started to understand and appreciate these uncompromising styles. Along the way, the party helped make superstars and grew to become the most popular night on the island.

All the while, ‘Papa Sven’ has resided over the proceedings, breaking countless records, playing hundreds of breathtaking sets (including many legendary afterparties) and sticking firm to his musical beliefs while trends came and went. He and his huge COCOON family who have enabled him to realize his vision have truly transformed the musical landscape of Ibiza forever.

ART EXHIBITION: TALKING TREES by Mary-Lynne Stadler @ AUBERGINE IBIZA Restaurant

ART EXHIBITION: TALKING TREES by Mary-Lynne Stadler @ AUBERGINE IBIZA Restaurant
Sep 21 @ 12:00 pm

aubergine-sep1

Claptone presents ‘The Masquerade’ at Pacha – Every Monday from May 27th to September 30th

A spectacular event presented by the most recognizable – yet mysterious – entity in dance music: the golden masked man Claptone.
An extraordinary and unique party full of mystery, imagination and masked faces. ‘The Masquerade’ is a place where one can live out their deepest desires.

Commencing on Monday 27th of May and continuing weekly until 30th September, the new night will see some of the scene’s most adventurous DJs join in on the hedonism.

Rising from the depths of the Mediterranean, onto the subtle sands of a tranquil Ibizan beach, enormous, golden masks signal the arrival of Claptone’s The Masquerade on the island.

Do you dare?

PYRAMID CLOSING PARTY IN ASSOCIATION WITH SUNWAVES

After a huge first year in 2018, Pyramid is back with even more surprises. Last year the brand promised to bring back the old Ibiza vibes and deliver a party that had a big emphasis on production, performance and decoration, alongside mouth-watering line ups, and it certainly did that.

Over 17 weeks Pyramid was the place to be on a Monday night in Ibiza, bringing some of the biggest names in house and techno to the club room and terrace. Ricardo Villalobos made 6 appearances on the terrace, including his All Night Long set in Ibiza plus a very special B2B set with Luciano. Other DJs that played were Maceo Plex who headlined 5 dates, Nina Kraviz, Helena Hauff, Raresh, Ben Klock and Charlotte de Witte.

In addition, we witnessed stellar live performances from Stephan Bodzin, KiNK and more. B2B sets from the likes of Cuartero and Guti Live, Eats Everything and Luigi Madonna amongst others.

In 2019 the brand continues to grow, throwing its first parties outside of the island and preparing what will be yet another huge season, with unbeatable line ups and mind blowing decoration and production.

From Monday 3rd June to 23rd September, every other week at Amnesia Ibiza.

ART EXHIBITION: TALKING TREES by Mary-Lynne Stadler @ AUBERGINE IBIZA Restaurant
Sep 24 @ 12:00 pm

aubergine-sep1

ART EXHIBITION: TALKING TREES by Mary-Lynne Stadler @ AUBERGINE IBIZA Restaurant

She has exhibited widely in the UK and in Cyprus, as well as here on Ibiza, and her work can be found in collections all over the world, from Hawaii to Hong Kong.

from 09.00 hrs  always open

Exhibition from August 30 to October 13, 2019 – Curated by Anna Dimitrova

Guest artists / Guest artists:
Agathe Sorlet (France) – Apollonia Saintclair (Europe) – Chamo San (Spain) – Ed Freeman (United States) – Felix Roca (Spain) – Francisco Bosoletti (Argentina) – Lib Rah (Cuba) – Mayo Llancares (Peru) – Melisa Ramet (Argentina) – Petites Luxures (France)
