Las Dalias Night MarketHIPPY NIGHT MARKET or Mercadillo Nocturno @ LAS DALIAS IBIZA

from 19.00 – 01.00 hrs

On the occasion of Las Dalias’ 65th anniversary, you will find more surprises in their summer calendar.
As a novelty, the Night Market on Sunday will take place this year from July 7 to August 25 and will animated by a specialty, the Street Food Festival, offering street food on wheels by the Las Dalias Van accompanied by other Foodtruck guests.

Initiated in 2005 the LAS DALIAS NIGHT MARKET or Mercadillo Nocturno is a more relaxed version of the classic hippy market, with over hundred posts, many of them exclusive for these market nights, where the selection is carried out with strict criteria of quality and originality. It has the “Art Corner” and a kids area with puppet theater, juggling, games and balloon twisting
Besides shopping, there is room for recreation in the tent, juice stands or in the restaurant, under the vineyard garden serving al fresco dinners.
Enjoy live music, usually acoustic and with frequent surprise concerts by musicians of national and international stature.

The Las Dalias Night Market is held on Mondays and Tuesdays from June to September and on Sundays from July 7th to August 25th from 19 to 01 hrs.

It was just the beginning. Get ready for the next global strike for climate on November 29th

Everyone is welcome.
Everyone is needed!

All events of Extinction Rebellion are non-violent. Extinction Rebellion (abbreviated as XR) is a socio-political movement which uses nonviolent resistance to protest against climate breakdown, biodiversity loss, and the risk of human extinction and ecological collapse.

The countdown does not stop, the time just ends. Attention Ibiza: Rebellion or Extinction!

Global emergency: while in the global scientific community there is already consensus on a massive and accelerated extinction of species and an imminent collapse of the global ecosystem of the planet. This is a direct consequence of the irresponsible human actions. It is the youth of the world who initiate the movement of Rebellion against Extinction.

In Ibiza we have been aware active in the protection of sea and land, working to preserve the biodiversity that enriches our natural heritage and looking for a more sustainable model that allows the next generations to enjoy what we have been given. The problem is that the general reaction is slow, too slow, while the situation is one of extreme urgency and seriousness. This is why a new mass social reaction, local as well as global, is required to firmly demand governments, in all its administrations, a change of radical and immediate political action.

The Rebellion against Extinction is also activated in Ibiza. We will be waiting for you at Vara de Rey at 6pm through a street gathering.
We must, here too, unite our voices and raise our hands in a non-violent way to defend our future, that of our children, that of all living beings.

XR IBIZA PRESS RELEASE May 14th, 2019:

XR Ibiza is comprised of people on the island who have decided to join the international non-violent rebellion against the ongoing species extinction and ecological and existential crisis. The Extinction Rebellion movement UK was born thanks to the ímpetus of scientists in the UK and has spread around the world into a coordinated international network. We are made up of self- organised XR groups within national territories which are coordinated on a state level and then with other countries via XR International.
Our message is clear: ALARM! We are facing a climate and ecological crisis, massive species extinction is already happening, and human extinction is a real risk. We have very little time left to act. The passive negligence of our governments makes them complicit, it is thus our right and our duty to follow our consciences and rebel by peaceful civil disobedience.

Our demands

The Government must tell the truth about the climate and ecological emergency. It must reverse those policies which do not align with this stance and, working alongside the media, strive to communicate with the people
The Government must enact binding and mandatory policies to reduce carbon emissions to net zero by 2025, to halt biodiversity loss and at the same time reduce levels of consumption.
A Citizens’ Assembly must be created to supervise the change, this being the democracy most suitable for achieving the objectives.
Regarding the first demand, and following the example of the UK parliament among others, we urge Ibiza’s 5 town halls, the Consell, the Govern Balear and the Spanish state to declare with no further ado, a CLIMATE EMERGENCY, this is fundamental to enable the truth to be told and for society to gain more awareness and thus act accordingly
For our part, we the people of Ibiza who oppose the misuse of our Earth and the threat to Humanity, are uniting our voices to deliver this Declaration of Rebellion against Extinction. This declaration is supported by the international movement Extinction Rebellion as well as the international declaration of rebellion presented in Madrid on April 8th by Extinction Rebellion España.

For the launch of XR Ibiza and for this our first act we enjoy the collaboration and support of local artists, scientists and activists. Moreover, we already have the official adhesion of renowned groups such as Eivissa Diu No, Antipetrolífera, SOS Yoga Ibiza, Ibiza Conciencia, Cocreate Earth, Circular Thinking, Amics de la Terra, Gen-Gob, ProArtSo, Conciencia Plástica, Guardianes de la Posidonia, Juventud Ibicenca (Fridays For Future), Casita Verde, Ecoradio Ibiza, Alianza por el Agua en Ibiza y Formentera, Associació de Voluntaris d’Eivissa, CGT Ibiza y Formentera, Cooperativa Integral de Eivissa, Masterminds Earth, Ibiza Fènix, Ibiza Climate Save, Anonymous for the Voiceless Ibiza and Love From Ibiza.

We must react together as a society and understand that Ibiza is already being seriously affected by the irresponsible act of our civilization with its self- destructive tendencies. The role played by the media is key which is why we expect on you to attend on Wednesday and we count on your publishing and/or broadcasting from now on

Many thanks and best regards from the team of XR Ibiza
