theHUB Ibiza & BOXED Ibiza are very proud to present theHUB Cafe Menu Tasting.
The guys from BOXED have put together an amazing menu made from the Ibizaproduce recommended supplier list. Expect seasonal local produce dishes, aiming to give a platform for local producers and farmers to showcase the best of what Ibiza has to offer. 

Expect to learn about the food and some amazing food tasting plus some very lovely mulled wine for the last winter warm-up of the year, of a series of Winter Warm Ups, to bring together the Island’s community over the Winter season.

Expect drinks, nibbles, music, an opportunity to learn something new and network.

Series 3 of the Winter Warm Ups theHUB. Ibiza welcomes the Ibiza Local Produce.

The Ibiza Preservation Foundation (IPF) has been promoting sustainability in Ibiza and Formentera for the past 10 years. During this time, we have worked with all the environmental stakeholders on these islands. One of the key issues in ensuring the sustainability of the agricultural landscape is the survival of the ‘pagés’…the Ibiza farmer. With this in mind, Ibiza Produce was created to promote the consumption of Local Produce and sustain local farming.

During our Winter Warm Up, we will chat about our FoodPrint and how we can eat sustainably in Ibiza.
Join us to find out what is local produce and where you can source it.

We will also be joined by Ibiza Microgreens, a small scale family farm located in San Agustin.

“We grow GMO free, locally and organically grown, nutritious and visually appealing microgreens. Before Ibiza microgreens, all microgreens were shipped over from either mainland Spain or the Netherlands. Our company was created as a reaction to promote organically grown vegetables as well as minimizing food waste, energy and emission demanding transportations.

We will at the winter warm up talk about what microgreens are and all its many benefits; from the nutritional superfood it is to our innovative technique of growing them. As we do vertical farming we use considerable less space, soil and fresh water than traditional farming, which is ideal for Ibiza as many of these things are scarce on the island.
The best way to understand the microgreen is to taste it, so we will bring some of our varieties for the listeners to try and maybe they even can guess which micro-vegetable they are eating!

To conclude the evening  there will be drinks, snacks and some samples from:

Sonia (Ecofeixes cooperative of organic farmers)
Fina (Farmer and creator of Ses Cabretes goat cheese)

They will bring sample hampers of local products so that guests can see the range of products and also start thinking of Xmas gifts with local products and sustainable packaging.
