Ibiza
Markets
Bustly, weekly
Ibiza markets, held in provincial
towns and villages, are the ideal place to purchase the
freshest products, like fruits, fish, vegetables and
local products, for a reasonable price.
Ibiza markets,
mostly selling a bit of everything, also offer the best
opportunity to meet the local population or to try local
specialties.
Both, Ibiza's locals, who buy vegetables, fruits, fish
and domestic items, and the many tourists who buy
clothes, jewellery and leather goods and ofcourse....
souvenirs, have a lot of fun while shopping.
Most of
Ibiza markets start in the mornings and
end sometime in the afternoon.
During the high season some
Ibiza markets are
held daily.
There also are a few specialist markets
on Ibiza.
Every Wednesday (from May to Cctober) from 10.00 - 19.00
hrs, on the grounds of holiday club Punta Arabi in Es
Cana (near St. Eulalia) there is a very famous
Hippy
market being held,
Punta Arabi, where you can purchase
all kinds of things, such as
exotic batik wraps,
clothing, handmade leather moccasins
and east
Asian silver
Jewellery.
You can still find some of the original
hippies that still live in Ibiza.
Hippy Market
Las Dalias - in San Carlos, held weekly
every Saturday throughout the year.
Open until late in
summer and from 10am until 6pm in winter.
